yourself, your home, and your family safe.

Pool Safety for Homeowners:

Teach children to stay away from pool drains, filters, or suction outlets, especially in spas and shallow pools. Swim suits, hair, or limbs can become stuck in a suction drain.


Install proper barriers around the pool: a 4-foot (non-climbable) fence should surround the pool and have child-proof gates. A-frame pool ladders should 

 

Don’t leave pool toys in the water. Curious children or pets can easily fall into the water while trying to retrieve a toy.

Do not leave pets unsupervised around a pool. Introduce your pets to water gradually and make sure they wear flotation devices when on boats. Rinse your pet off after swimming to remove chlorine or salt from their fur. Keep pets from drinking pool water, which contains chlorine and other chemicals.
